Alfi

Alfi is a group messaging app with a built-in AI that helps friends make plans, find places to eat, set reminders and more, right inside the conversation. Its new feature, For You, turns the home screen into a feed of picks built from your chats, your city and what you care about. Not a scroll of strangers, but your next hour with your people.

The brief was clear: the story had to be human first, with the AI as the quiet magic in the background. Most people watch with the sound off, so we wrote it two ways, with a narrator and in on-screen text alone, to make sure every beat could land without sound.

The film opens on a group chat everyone knows, the taco council 🌮, at its loudest. Then time speeds up: timestamps stretch, colours drain, and it ends where every group chat ends, with “idk what do you guys wanna do” and no reply. Late at night, an unsent “i miss you guys” blinks in the text box.

At 7:00 AM the screen wakes in Alfi blue. We scrub back through the chat as the friends’ own words light up (a craving for tacos, a free Friday, how long it’s been) and they come together as one For You pick. The chat floods back to life, a blurry flash photo proves the night happened, and the film closes on “Introducing For You”: every morning at 7, wake up to your people.
