Lindy launch film: the “Introducing” frame

The challenge

Team knowledge lives in meetings, and most of it never leaves the room.

Ask “What’s the latest with the Nike deal?” and you hit a wall: the person who knows is out of office, and “check the recording” only raises more questions. Lindy built a way to share meetings with the whole team, and with Lindy itself, so anyone can find the answer without chasing people.

Lindy had just relaunched as Lindy Assistant with a brand-new identity. The team wanted a launch film for the Team Meeting Library that felt like the new brand, not like any of their previous videos, and that any team could recognise in the first few seconds.

The idea

Tell it the way it actually happens: in Slack.

Instead of opening on features, the film starts with a familiar message and the dead ends that follow, so every team sees itself in the first ten seconds. Then Lindy’s ribbons sweep in, the folders open up to the team and to Lindy, and the problem resolves into one idea: The Brain.

We debated the hook with Lindy’s team: lead with the problem, or show the product in the first two seconds? After several hook options, we kept the problem-led open in a real Slack thread, because the dead ends make the payoff land. The motion language grew out of Lindy’s new logo face, in their dark navy instead of pure black, with soft gradients, a pop-funk soundtrack and familiar Slack sounds. It closes on a rhythm of verbs (remember, search, share, ask) and a final “With Lindy, you can.”
